Marme...

MARME
Back when "Little Women" came out in 1994, I was 9 years old.
I loved that they called their Mom "Marme".
Well it stuck! I started calling MY mom Marme!
I still do!!!

I love my Marme so much!
She is always there for me and
I know she loves me so unconditionally!
I love spending time with her!
She is a great Grandma to my sweet little boy...
who loves her so much!
Whenever we get into the car...
the first thing Isaac asks for is:
GAMA! GAMA GO?
My Marme is my hero!
She is always so tough and cares about everyone!
I hope I can be at least half the mother she is to me!
I love her so much!!!
Thank you Marme... for being MY Marme!!!
The Lord truly blessed me with you!

We had a hard time getting along at the very beginning...
we struggled together until we both decided it was just time
for me to get here so we could start on our relationship on the outside!
Our relationship keeps growing each and every day!
I love you sweet Marme!
Thank you for putting up with me and all the sickness you did
for 8 1/2 months to get me here!
I guess I was just anxious to get here to be with you!
Love you!!!

Park on 4.6.11

We LOVE the park!

Isaac loves to go down the slides!!

We decided to let Isaac go down by himself!

Of course he has to lay down...
he doesn't get the whole sitting up thing yet!

Trying out the swing! It's not his favorite!
He'd much rather go down the slides!!!

SO EXCITED...
for the warmer weather!

Snowy Hike...

Brian wanted to take Isaac sledding up Millcreek.
So we got ready, drove up the canyon, and once we got there...
I realized I failed to get Isaac's snow pants.
So we went for a little hike instead.
He was still super excited to be outside!
He did want to be carried the whole time though!
We didn't take the pack... so Brian got to carry him.
Hard carrying a 30 lb child on a hike.
Isaac loves the snow... but most of all...
he loves to EAT it!

Yummy snow!

It's hard to eat snow with gloves on... so Brian was helping him!

Hanging out by the rock... where Isaac can stand and eat some snow!

Isaac decided the gloves needed to come off...
it's just too hard to eat snow with them on!

Isaac thought this was so funny!
He wanted Brian to keep doing it!

Brian trying to put Isaac's gloves back on... not easy!

Isaac loves his daddy!

Brian and Isaac shook the snow off a lot of the trees!
Isaac thought it was fun!

Isaac in a tree! Love that smile!

Cutest boy of all time!!!

Bubbles...

Isaac got a bubble gun for his birthday!
It took me awhile to get to it and put the batteries in it. But I finally did it! So Brian and I decided to surprise him with some bubbles after his nap one day!

You can see the grin already! He LOVES bubbles!

He's so excited!!!

Look at that cute smile!!

Brian helping him get to the bubbles! Isaac thought it was the best!! Those smiles are truly the best!!

Brian's swirling the bubbles around and I think Isaac is trying to catch them with his mouth... ???
Trying to teach him how to do it himself! He thought it was cool!

He couldn't really do it himself yet... but he was stoked on it!
It is an outside thing for sure though. His floor was soaking wet with soapy water! FUN!

Totes of clothes...

Funny story...
I have totes with clothes for Isaac next to his bed. They are the clothes that he will be in next. His summer clothes and 2T clothes. His dresser is stocked full and he doesn't have a closet. SO... I just moved his bed so that it's not next to the wall. He likes to put his feet through the bars and kick the wall. It's so loud we couldn't stand it anymore. :) Anyways... I went in to check on him during his nap and this is what I found...

This tote was tipped over and had some clothes on the floor. I thought to myself. OH GREAT... he can get to those now. I'll have to move those. Well... it was worse...

HAHAHA!!!!
He got A LOT of the clothes in his crib! I was laughing so hard, I had to go grab the camera! I left them there while he napped. I didn't want to wake him up! He is just so funny! He is always making me laugh! Needless to say... I moved the totes AGAIN! :)

My Baby is TWO!

March 25, 2011

I can't believe my baby is TWO!
These last two years have been the best!
He is such a joy! He brings so much happiness into our home! He has such a sweet little spirit! I love how curious he is and wants to figure everything out!
I can't imagine my life without him!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy IsAaC HeNrY!!!

We had a fun day!
I love being able to spend every day with my sweet Isaac!

First thing in the morning, I gave Isaac his first gift! Isaac loves ELMO, so I had gotten him the Birthday Elmo! He was so excited!! Love the smile!

He wanted to open it and play with the disk!

Instead we watched it together while he drank his Chocolate Milk!

My cute little birthday boy laying on the floor watching Elmo!

He was done cuddling with me! He just wanted to sit by himself and finish his movie!

Brian wanted to spoil our little guy. So we got on Amazon and ordered this Power Wheels Ford. It wasn't going to make it on time - at least that's what it said on the estimated delivery date. Well... it came the night before! I was so excited and happy! So was Brian! We put it together that night and even let Isaac have a sneak peek. Which means he just got it a day early!

The morning of his birthday when we went upstairs... he went straight for it! He was so excited! [I think we'll need to have a lesson on not drinking while driving. ;)]

This is MY truck! Hands off!

Birthday lunch! He really just liked the fries! He did eat a few chicken pieces though!

Love my Birthday boy!!! [With the big blue eyes!]

So I had been looking for Elmo cakes EVERYWHERE! They are expensive... and I didn't want to make it. My mom told me to check with the lady that made my wedding cakes [yes we had 2]. I called her three days before his birthday and she said she could do it! PLUS it was about half the price! I was so happy! She also delivered it!!! I feel like she did a great job! [I may have done the eyes different... but still! NOT BAD!]

Isaac is my great little sleeper! I am so happy he still takes naps. HE NEEDS THEM... and so do I! :)

He was out! Drooling and everything! [Sadly he gets that from me] It was time to get going to his party. I felt bad that I had to wake him... but he had been asleep for about 3 hours. So I didn't feel too bad!

Our house is SO small, there was no way we could fit all the people in it. So my sweet sister got her church for us. It felt silly getting a church, but it worked out GREAT!!! Everyone could play in the gym. Here is the primary room. As you can tell... the theme was ELMO! I got made fun of... I went a little overboard on the Elmo stuff!

Isaac's loot! Spoiled little guy! :)
[The high chair was already ours!]

Love his huge Elmo balloon!

Isaac running and playing in the gym! Here he was running for Dad and the basketball he was playing with!

He wanted to play basketball too! Like the hat Brian!

He loves his Aunt Kay-key [Katie] and Bampa [Grandpa] Bruce!

Snuggling with Aunt Kay-key

Cute little Kate playing with her new bubbles with Momma Christy! Kate and Isaac are less then a year apart and like to play!

Isaac waiting so patiently for Aunt Katie to blow some bubbles!

The crowd getting some snacks and waiting for cake and presents!

Since it was HIS party... I let him help himself to what he wanted! He sure likes chips!

Haha... dipping his chips into the salsa! What a character!

The only thing is... he would LICK the salsa off and then RE-dip! Like I said... it's his birthday!!!

We started to sing to him... he wasn't totally sure what to think!

But then we got to his name in the song and he got really excited! This was after the song and then everyone clapped! He was so stoked! He wanted us to sing again. I think Brian and I sang to him for the next week. He loved it! Hahaha!!!

Not sure what he was supposed to do with the candle! We blow on food all the time. But he didn't get it!

Me handing him his cake!

He's not sure what to do with it! He doesn't get sweets very often... ok or ever! He dug right in with his first birthday cake. But here... he didn't.

He is picking off the red frosting ever so gingerly and eating it.

Brian trying to help him figure it out! DIG IN ISAAC!

He wasn't very happy with Dad for that. Here he is wiping his hands off! HAHA!

This is the worst it got! A little frosting on his face. He never actually got to the cake part.

So I took the cake and he wanted chips! This made him happy!

Eating his chips, while Grandpa tries to help him figure out his presents!

He can only do it with one hand... cause he needs to lick the salt off his frito chips!

Not sure why he is saying all done... so funny!

Excited about all his Elmo stuff!

Very focused on his new books!

Cute Christian helping him open toys and show him what they are!

STINKER!
Brian found the Piñata candy... and was trying to steal it!

He thought he could hide it in his shirt... Hmmmm!

He didn't get away with it... so instead he just sat down with it and started sharing it with everyone and of course eating some at the same time! Good thing I got plenty of candy!

He is so funny!!!
We were over doing the Piñata and he was just off by himself! He takes after his Dad! Brian used to do this when he was little. Happiest when he was just left alone!

All the other kids super excited about the Piñata!

My cute family!!!

Love my little Elmo boy!
He is so big! [That's what he is showing me here!]

Playing with his new, very own, musical laptop!

Isaac got a sea turtle night light. It shines stars up on the ceiling. He loves it! Here he is inside the power wheels box with it! He's so cute!

Happy 2nd Birthday sweet Isaac!
You bring so much Joy and Happiness into my life!
Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing my life with Isaac!
