February 2010...

February 2010...
I started February off by going and staying in Heber with Katie. Bruce and Alison went out of town and so Isaac and I went up to be with Katie for a few days. We had fun! Played lots of games and visited a lot.
We helped Emily move into my parents house. She needed to be out of her apartment, so she decided she would move in with our parents for a time.
We watched a lot of the Olympic's this month! It was so fun to be able to watch them!
We helped Janice move to Heber!
I learned how to make a super yummy, easy Winter White Chili. I made it a few times in February! It's so good!!!

January 2010...

So now that I am finally onto 2010 I am going to do my posts by MONTH... that is until I am up to date and current! :) So ENJOY!!! Sorry I am still so BEHIND... I am trying...
January 2010...
Well... it was my Birth month!
I started celebrating as early as I could get away with it. Mom spoiled me like usual and we went shopping. Got a few new things! Had lunch together... then we went out to dinner with Brian, Emily and both my parents were there! [And of course Isaac!!!]
ON my birthday...
Brian and I went out to dinner and a movie. We went to Gateway and ate at Tucano's. YUM! I love Brazilian food! Then we went to see "Blind Side". It was such a wonderful movie! I had a great birthday celebration!
Isaac continued to get more teeth. The teething process is not fun! He is so miserable when he is teething... but I can't blame him either. He did get two teeth this month.
I tried to get out skiing as often as I could. It was nice to have my ski pass to Solitude. Brian of course skied much, much more then I did. It was fun I got to go skiing with Katie also. We just took it nice and slow... my kind of skiing! :)
Isaac continued to grow and eat as much as possible. He was doing great on the baby food!
At the end of the month... the Anderson's went to the Mt. Aire cabin. We had a good time! Played lots of guitar hero. LOTS!!! It was fun!
What a great January!!

Kidney stones - 8 months pregnant

Oh the misery!
So I was 8 months along and working at the Inn at Solitude Mtn Resort...
I all of a sudden got a really sharp pain thru my left side
and it didn't go away.
So I was pretty sure it wasn't labor - but I didn't know what was going on.
[I'll be honest... I was wondering if I was just having a sudden attack. NOPE!]
I didn't know what to do... I was working by myself.
I let my manager go for a ski break.
It was slow and really boring anyways.
Thank goodness Brian was working that day.
I called him in a panic and told him he needed to come down and get me.
He was there pretty quickly.
He strapped me to a back board [semi-embarrassing] and took me over to the clinic.
They asked me a lot of questions - while I was throwing up in their waste basket.
They ruled out labor and decided it may be kidney stones,
but that I should probably go to the hospital.
Brian asked me if I wanted a ambulance... I told him
NO, JUST GET ME THERE!
It was the worst car ride ever... I was in so much pain.
I just whimpered, cried, and screamed the whole way down the canyon.
[Driving Brian crazy!]
Got to the emergency room and they sent me straight to the Womens Center.
They gave me shots of morphine in my butt [OUCH] and started doing tests.
They decided they were pretty sure it was kidney stones.
They took me over for x-rays on my kidney. [My left side]
They couldn't see my kidney - my colon was pretty dang full.
YUCK!
I stayed for 24 hours - on wonderful morphine!
Then stayed on Loratab at home!
Needless to say I didn't go back to work after that.
Instead I curled up on the couch and didn't go far from there!
I went back to the hospital about a week later for another stone.
Was there for 12 hours.
Then I passed another one at home...
decided it was time to do something about my colon.
Tried different things... don't need to list them! :)
Ended up taking a colonoscopy prep to help it along.
NASTY STUFF!!!!
It was midnight when I started.
My sweet husband and parents stayed up with me.
They watched a movie while I was in the corner in agony.
Of course it was a comedy so they kept laughing and enjoying themselves...
while I am just writhing in pain!
Felt some what better after that night.
By this point I was finally dilated to a one...
my doctor told me if I got ONE more kidney stone...
he would start me now that I was at a one.
He didn't want to just keep waiting.
It was probably stressing the baby out AND I was sick of the pain!
Plus he wanted to figure out what the deal was with my kidneys.
Well... I got ANOTHER ONE.
So Tuesday morning, March 24, I had finally had enough.
I called the hospital and they said they would call me back when
they had a room available for me to come in and use.
It wasn't an hour later that they called.
SO IT WAS TIME!!!

Here I am in all my misery!
I have my phone just in case I would need it...
and a heating pad to help with the pain.
It hurt to lay all the way down,
So I had to prop myself up a little.
Tell you what... I didn't sleep great!
The Loratab knocks me out!
As you can see...
sweet Mom getting me in my prime!

Family Shower ~ 3/19/09

Love the great Peterson family!
We debated whether or not we were going to be able to do this shower.
By this time I believe I had had 2 or 3 kidney stones.
Talk about miserable!!!
I would much rather be in the most miserable part
of pregnancy before having kidney stones.
This day I was feeling pretty good. Still didn't really get ready.
This alone drained ALL of my energy.
I didn't get off this couch.
Literally!!!
People brought me food,
handed me the presents,
THEY WERE MY SLAVES!
Ok, not really... just wonderful to help me out in my time of need!

Opening my awesome presents!
I love that no one around me is smiling...
they all look really bored!
HAHA!

The awesome crew! Love my sisters & cousins!!
Thanks Sisters for putting it together!

My sweet Mom & Aunts!
Ginni & Kay!
Me, Mom & Tammy!
[In case you didn't notice... look above my aunts...
Yes that is Kim laughing and Christy pointing to her butt!
LOVE THEM! I laugh every time I see this picture!]
Brian wasn't so sure about getting to open a "BABY" present.
That's my department!
But I knew what it was already... and figured he would be the one using it!

SWEET!!!
Thanks Grandpa & Grandma Peterson!
It was their tradition to give each grandchild a hiking pack
for each first great-grandchild born in that particular family.
The aunts have done a GREAT job keeping it up!
Thank you!!!
It has been used A TON!!!

Ward Baby shower 3/5/09

I love my sweet Granite View Ward!
It was such a wonderful Shower and so many thoughtful people!
Good grief... I'm huge!

I just love my Mom!!

Two great mothers!
Feel so lucky and blessed to have them!

The shower was in the evening in MARCH...
and sweet Alison drove down from Heber for it!
Look we match!

Eating some good food! Love the G.V. ward!

Hahaha... Sarah arrived!
This is her announcing herself!

Friend baby shower - 2/21/09

The FRIEND baby shower!
What wonderful friends!
We had it at the Hair house!
YUMMY FOOD! & GOOD COMPANY!

Love my friends!
From L-R:
Aubree, Kim, ME, Coco, Megi, Misty, and Moo!

The hostess her self! Megi and Me! Great shower!

Just sticking the belly out! Nice huh?

Misty and the AWESOME blanket she made Isaac!
It's his favorite to this day!

Eating super YUMMY food! I couldn't get enough!
Nor could Isaac... I think I had 4 helpings!
Man I must have been pregnant!
Love Chris Hair!
So wonderful to let us have it at her house too!

Love me some Coco and Misty!

SWEET!!!
Isaac's first bed!
He only slept in it til he was about 8-9 months old!

Two weeks later we headed up to the Gorge for the summer.
That wasn't easy... but we managed.
I was home by myself when he cried his first real tears.
That broke my heart! I cried too! :)
Brian found out he was accepted into the Nursing program at the UofU in April.
The summer was fun, we made a lot of trips down to Salt Lake.
We had weddings and fun visits!
Loved my first Mothers Day! So wonderful to be a mother!
Isaac and I spent some time in Heber taking care of
the Hoskisson Home while they were out of town.
That was fun! Had the house to ourselves!
We had both sets of Grandparents up to visit - which was so nice!
The Moffitt family came up to visit.
We had a good time playing games and going around Flaming Gorge!
Brian went on the Selway and I spent time in Salt Lake.
Brian turned 27!
We spent it in Heber! Then Bri went to Idaho with his Dad!
Went to Bear Lake with the Anderson Family.
That was hard, Isaac still napped about 3x a day.
So we didn't spend a lot of time on the beach, but loved just being there.
Played a lot of games with the Family!
Grandpa Claude had surgery...
and it was decided that we would move it with him...
I would help take care of him.
The Hoskissons helped us MAJOR clean the basement
and then we started moving in.
So nice with our own bathroom, two bedrooms,
living room and storage room!
Isaac loved his baby food!
Especially Applesauce!
I got a calling in our new ward as the Assistant coach.
We started practicing Volleyball right away!
The girls did a great job!
It was so fun to get to know them better.
Isaac started screaming when he was 6 months old.
He has such a shrill ear piercing scream.
It's rather harsh on the ears!
He finally figured out how to put his binki back in by himself.
That was really nice!
Isaac got his first tooth when he was 7 months.
Isaac was my little PUMPKIN for Halloween...
and the cutest pumpkin around!
I was a nurse!
I was called to a be a Beehive advisor!
I always wanted to be in the Young Womens!
We started helping my parents pack up there house to sell.
That was really hard.
I loved their house. It held so many memories.
I didn't want to let them go or the house.
It truly was more bitter then sweet.
It was hard to see Isaac sick for the first time.
He threw up all the solids I tried to feed him.
We went back to formula. That's all he could handle.
We had Thanksgiving with the Peterson family at Emily's ward house.
We always have a good time!
Ate lots of wonderful food and played fun games together in the gym.
December was a fun month!
I was able to go skiing a few times!
Love all our Christmas parties - so wonderful to spend time with family!
Poor Emily had surgery on her feet...
So I spent some time with her.
LOVE our families Christmas traditions!
Christmas Eve:
The Peterson family still goes to a movie and Crown Burger.
We went to Alvin and the Chipmunks Squeakel.
The kids got a kick out of it... well so did I!
Then that evening we went to Heber to spend Christmas Eve there.
We exchange our gifts then and eat yummy food.
Then we play the famous BINGO!
Later that evening we came home and I started a new tradition for our little family.
MRS. CLAUSE brings a little something to get us ready for Santa the next day.
So we each get to open ONE present... PAJAMAS!
CHRISTMAS DAY:
It was so fun to have Isaac this Christmas.
He by far had the most gifts under the tree.
[Mommy spoiled him!!!]
He got a lot of fun toys... which he was semi excited for!
Then we headed out to my parents house and had breakfast...
then opened gifts with them and hung out for most of the day.
ALL IN ALL...
2009 was the BEST YEAR EVER!!!
It was such a joy to have Isaac join our family!
He is the light and life to our family!!!

It's been TOO long...

Well... I can officially say
IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!
I can't believe my last post was Dec. 5 2008!
Yeesh!
You would think I've been busy or something.. and that I have!
Time to update you... Then I will add pictures... slowly probably!

After my last post...
I was feeling pretty good!
Had some wonderful showers - got lots of wonderful baby stuff!!!
I started working up at Solitude Ski Resort with Brian.
I worked at the ticket office and the Inn.
I loved it... it was so nice to be up in the Mtns during the winter.
It started getting harder and harder the larger I got.
I was 8 months along and one day I was working at the Inn.
I all of a sudden got a really sharp pain and it didn't go away.
So I was pretty sure it wasn't labor - but I didn't know what was going on.

I called the hospital and they said they would call me back when
they had a room available for me to come in and use.
It wasn't an hour later that they called.
Brian had gone to take his last final at school and mom was working.
Thank goodness Dad was home!!! :)
So we got to the hospital about 1:00 in the afternoon.
They checked my blood pressure 4 times, which told us something was up.
Well it was SCARY high.
They tried to get me to relax and not worry about it.
Like that helps! :)
I was still only at a one... but they gave me an epidural right then
to help with the pain and hope it would relax me!!!
They started the IV and pitocin to get my labor started.
Alison [Brian's mom!] got there and sat with me...
and tried helping me to relax... so that my doctor could break my water.
HE COULDN'T!
Talk about some pain... AND I had my epidural.
Isaac was still high and didn't want to drop.
Also... Isaac didn't take to the pitocin well.
His heart rate kept dropping, so they had to stop it for a bit,
then try it again.
Well... that evening I was only at a THREE.
My doc said that if I didn't really progress by 11 the next morning we had to consider
an emergency C-section. :(
Talk about the longest night. I was so hungry and thirsty.
Ice doesn't do the trick - or a Popsicle every two hours.
The doc came in and checked me before he started his day...
Yep... I WAS STILL A THREE.
So he said if I wasn't really ready by 11 they were going to do
an emergency C-section.
Guess what... at 11 I was only a THREE.
I was so scared. I didn't want to have a C-section, but I wanted to be done already.
They prepped me and we were on our way.
I was so grateful Brian was going to be right beside me through it all.
They even let my mom in with a camera. :)
My anesthesiologist was fantastic!
Got me all ready on the bed and before I knew it
Brian said they had his head out!
[The umbilical cord was around his neck TWICE - TIGHT,
which of course they didn't tell me until later that day.
No wonder he wouldn't drop and he didn't react well to the pitocin.]
I remember them showing me my sweet little boy - covered in goop.
But then the pain got worse, so they put me all the way under.
The next thing I remember was waking up and being all done.
I was wheeled into my new room and then Brian came in.
Next the nurse brought me my new little bundle of joy!
MAN... HE'S CUTE!!!
Brian got to give him his very first bath.
It was fun to watch.
I was in a bit of pain.
I had a lot of wonderful visitors.
I was so nervous to go home... but thank goodness I wasn't going home by myself!
Brian was so great and so were my parents. SO helpful!
I had to get used to the NO sleep thing, but we made it work!
...

18 Weeks Along... and showing!!
I wanted to show some pictures of me at 18 weeks...
I am starting to show more and more!!!

Brian liked to snap "kandid" shots of me!
I was trying to take my glasses off! :)

Yep... There is a baby in there!
I CAN FEEL HIM!!!

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving with the Hoskisson Clan!
This year we had dinner up in Heber at the Hoskisson's House!
We had a wonderful time!
Eating is always wonderful right? I sure think so!
We had a small crew this year, compared to last time...
It was: Bruce, Alison, Lisa, Sarah, Ryan, Katie, Brian and I
Needless to say... it was pretty quiet, for the most part!
We are so thankful for our wonderful families
and the time we get to share with them!
They are such a huge blessing in our lives!
We love them so much!!!
Just enjoying our wonderful pies! YUM!!!
Had to get a picture of Brian and I!
Can't really see the growing belly :)
Thanksgiving makes us full and tired!
Except for Bruce... it didn't make him too tired!
He was having fun, trying to fart on everyone...
Yes that's right... fart!
He was getting a kick out of himself!
I thought it was funny myself,
seeing that I wasn't on the receiving end! :)

Brian and his goofy face making...
He just loves having his picture taken!

He was being a stinker, and wouldn't look at the camera.

But I was able to catch him here... laughing at least!
